The baleen design was inspired by the repetitive linear look of the humpback whale’s baleen. Instead of teeth, humpback whales take in big gulps of water and strain out the water through the baleen filters, catching krill.
Earrings designed by Rico Worl that represent some of the basic elements of Northwest Coast Formline design. Made of alder wood with vinyl surface for color, sterling silver ear wires (hypo-allergenic), silicone nuts to prevent them from slipping off, and bagged for protection.
About 2⅞" long and comes in teal, white, and yellow.
